Railway Street Gallery + Studios contemporary art gallery

Railway Street Gallery + Studios aims to foster emerging and established artists from New Zealand, as well as a working studio space for our resident artists to extend their practice. 

Situated on Railway St in Newmarket Auckland, the gallery features two exhibition spaces; one focusing on a collection of small scale works and editions from our represented artists, and a larger gallery space that hosts an extensive selection of guest artists throughout the year. 

Established by Auckland artist Fiona Cable in 2012, her objective was to create a space where artists could work collectively to share knowledge and ideas. Visitors to the Auckland gallery are encouraged to engage with the artists working in the studio, to be informed of their process and see the works progress. 

As the gallery has gained momentum and more artists exhibit in the space, Fiona has decided to now focus on her art practice in a full time capacity and has passed the Railway Street Gallery + Studios mantle over to Erin O'Malley.
