Order processing and shipping

We will process your order within 48 business hours: 9am - 5pm Mon to Fri NZST.

If the artwork is in a current exhibition, order processing may be delayed. 

You can place an order with us by email to erin@railwaystreetstudios.co.nz and pay using Direct Credit or Cheque in advance of delivery.

If you have a special shipping requirement or need something delivered quickly, please contact erin@railwaystreetstudios.co.nz

If an order requires custom made art packaging it may take up to an extra 5 working days to process.

If a parcel is returned to Railway Street Gallery + Studios due to a buyer error in the specified address, a redelivery fee will apply.

If an editioned artwork is not in stock, Railway Street Gallery + Studios will contact you as quickly as possible and either refund you OR contact the artist to see if another edition is available to fulfil your order.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to promptly advise Railway Street Gallery +  Studios if an order is not delivered when expected. A late delivery does not constitute reasonable grounds to reject an order.

Railway Street Studios uses Fastway Couriers for deliveries; this is a signature required service. Please provide a physical address where there will be someone present to sign for your item between the delivery hours of 9am - 5pm weekdays.

Fastway couriers do not deliver to Private Bag or PO Box addresses.
The delivery time is estimated at 2-6 working days.

When you sign for a parcel, you are acknowledging that you have received the artwork in good condition; please do not sign until you have inspected your goods.

Railway Street Studios uses NZ Post's International Courier service; a tracked, signature required service which delivers to the following destinations: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, El Salvador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Samoa, Singapore, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Tonga, UK, USA, Vanuatu, Uruguay and Vietnam.

Please provide a physical address where there will be someone present to sign for your item between the delivery hours of 9am - 5pm weekdays.

PO Box delivery is available within the following countries: Australia, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Cook Islands, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Finland, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Macau, Netherlands, Poland, Samoa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Singapore, Slovenia, Taiwan, Thailand, Uruguay, USA, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.

International shipping rates are dependent on the destination country and the size and weight of the items in the order. Railway Street Gallery + Studios online International shipping calculator has broad price brackets – if you feel the shipping price at checkout isn’t competitive, please email erin@railwaystreetstudios.co.nz

Items under NZ$2,000 in value sent by International Economy Courier are covered for loss or damage by standard compensation. Items valued between NZ$2,000 and NZ$50,000 are classified as high risk items and can only be sent if additional compensation cover is purchased. In this event, we will contact you directly to discuss payment for the additional insurance cover.

Due to size restrictions, not all items available on our web site can be shipped internationally using NZ Post. We will look at alternative freight options and in the unlikely event that no other suitable option is available and we’re unable to ship the item to you, we will provide a full refund.

Please note that you are responsible for compliance with all relevant local laws and any import duties or sales taxes that may be applied to your order at the port of entry. Railway Street Gallery + Studios has no control over these charges: we cannot advise what the costs will be or pay any taxes or duties on your behalf - for more information, please contact your local customs authority.
