Embossing with Kyla Cresswell - Friday 30th October 1-4pm

In this 3-hour class, you will be introduced to the printmaking technique of embossing. You will hand-carve your own block and explore the beautiful, subtle art of embossing paper using an etching press. Learn how you can combine this with colour, which tools to use, troubleshooting tips and how this differs to debossing. Design your embossed print alongside fellow makers at the wonderful creative space of Railway Street Studios + Gallery.

All materials and tools are supplied, and you will take home your block and printed embossings. You will be given class handouts on the process and a list of suppliers. 

Afternoon tea is provided. 

Kyla Cresswell is an Ōtepoti Dunedin-based artist who has a love of intaglio printmaking techniques and the rich and varied processes of this discipline.
